Cassandra’s family farmstead was the perfect location for this simple and low key wedding. They planned to have their ceremony outside looking out over the fields filled with wildflowers. Then the storm clouds moved in and forced us inside. What we lost in scenery during the ceremony, we gained in pretty epic and moody back ground for family and couples portraits. Despite the challenge of photographing in sporadic rainfall, the dark and stormy skies made their photos some of my very favourite of the season.

In perfect comedic timing, the sun popped out after we’d wrapped up all the formal and portrait photos. That called for the very appropriate occasion to shot-gun beers on the front lawn and make the Grandmas proud! The reception was held at The Farmhouse in Barrie, where an awesome farm-to-table meal was served. The dance floor was on fire immediately after with Cassandra’s hilarious bridesmaids.
